space cadet

Space Cadet is a collection inspired by Michael Drummond of Project Runway’s “Being Played” exhibition at the World Chess Hall of Fame in St. Louis, MO. The exhibition features artistic garments inspired by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the interplay of technology and strategy. During my visit, I was reminded of the computer pinball game Space Cadet I used to play on my grandparents’ computer. Guided by Michael Drummond’s input, I created trend-defying designs. The zig zag elements of the game appear in the sweaters and the ribbing represents the linearity of the game’s design.

I worked with Michael Drummond and a local knitter to produce Look 5. I created technical flats with measurements and used V-Stitcher by Browzwear to render a 3d model.
