Maggie Miller is fashion designer based in NYC. Motivated by the intricacies and complexities of the design process itself, she views design as an opportunity for problem-solving and continuous personal development. Often inspired by her own life experiences, history, pop culture interests, or the nature around her, Maggie navigates the space between nostalgia and the now. Through her work, she evokes historical and contemporary sentiments by juxtaposing classic silhouettes and tailoring with bold texture, prints, and color. By creating this duality of new and old, chaos and sophistication, she creates joy in her work while upholding a level of seriousness.

With a process of extensive research, illustration, collage, fabric manipulation, and sketch booking, Maggie’s designs are thoughtful and unique. Honored with the Riverbend Textiles Sustainability Award, Maggie emphasizes the use of natural fibers such as wool and silk, recycled textiles, and deadstock fabrics throughout her work. As such, the “Maggie Miller Woman” is bold and curious. She is re-evaluating her relationship as a consumer to fashion, investing in quality, detailed pieces that highlight luxurious fabrications. For this reason, she values outerwear and other pieces that operate as functional, stand-out garments for her wardrobe that will last a lifetime.

She recently had her New York Fashion Week debut in February 2022.
